Health Surveillance techniques
As you would expect from a major OH provider, Medigold offers all types of health surveillance to both large and small worker populations. Here are a few examples of some of the groups we monitor:
- display screen equipment operators;
- operatives working in confined spaces;
- employees subject to noisy working environments;
- employees exposed to potential hand-arm vibration or whole body vibration syndromes;
- individuals specifically covered by the working time regulations;
- employees working in a hazardous particle environments;
- critical incident response (e.g. asbestos exposure); and
- standard work station assessments
Health surveillance can be arranged anywhere in the UK and we are able to carry out an extensive number of procedures including:
- Health questionnaires
- Height/weight/BMI analysis
- Blood pressure and pulse checks
- Urine Dipstix Test
- Vision screening inc Keystone Sight Test
- Lung function and Spirometry
- Basic hearing test and Audiometry

Blood profile which may include:
- full blood count
- biochemistry profile
- total free cholesterol
- simple blood sugar test
- Locomotor, spinal mobility and reflex inspection
- Health counselling, including advice on coronary risk and stress factors
- Hand Arm Vibration Examinations
- Dermatology examinations
- Non Ionising Radiation Examinations
We have access to a range of mobile units and can provide on-site screening at
any location using the latest equipment.
