Mental Health Webinars, Bitesize Sessions and Talks

Looking to support your male employees’ mental health better?

We can help.

We offer mental health training courses, talks and webinars that are specifically designed to support men’s mental health in the workplace. They will help you develop greater awareness of the unique challenges men may face and equip your organisation with the tools to provide meaningful, stigma-free support.

These courses will give you the knowledge, confidence, and practical strategies to promote early intervention, build resilience, and create a culture where men feel safe to speak up – ultimately improving wellbeing and reducing the impact of mental ill health on your business.

Why is Mental Health so important?

• One of the most significant challenges confronting UK organisations is the impact of poor mental health – particularly among men, who are often less likely to seek support.

• Shockingly, around 75% of all suicides in the UK are men, and suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under 50. Despite these figures, men are far less likely to access mental health services or speak openly about their struggles at work.

• In addition to its toll on employees’ lives, these challenges also bear a significant financial burden on UK businesses. Work-related stress is now costing the economy £28 billion annually and is one of the leading causes of absence, with over 12% of employees taking days off as a result.

• Our mental health training programmes can help equip your leaders, managers and colleagues with the knowledge and skills to be able to spot the signs of poor mental health in men in the workplace and provide the right support to those who may be struggling. In turn, they can deliver wider benefits for your organisation, helping you to reduce absence, boost productivity and demonstrate your commitment to prioritising the health and wellbeing of your workforce.

What Mental Health Training courses do we offer?

As well as improving your employees’ knowledge and understanding of common mental health conditions and their effects, our courses will equip them with the skills and confidence they need to be able better to support their own and others’ mental wellbeing, so that you can reduce absence, boost productivity and create a positive mental health culture that allows every employee to thrive.

Our courses include:

Mental Health First Aid*

Equip your staff to support others in a crisis and help them learn how to recognise and respond to the signs and symptoms of various mental health conditions.  The course covers depression, suicidal crisis, anxiety, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, self-harm and other relevant conditions and issues. Treatment, recovery and relevant resources are discussed for each condition, along with action planning.

Mental Health First Aid Refresher*

With more being understood, discussed, and implemented surrounding mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, new approaches, responses and terminology are constantly emerging. This course covers knowledge of mental health, its influence, and causes, along with how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health.

Suicide First Aid*

Equip employees to spot, understand and respond effectively to signs of suicide intentions. This training explores the potential causes of thoughts of suicide or suicide ideas and provides attendees with the tools and knowledge to help someone with suicidal thoughts stay safe. It is ideal for anyone who wants to understand the theory and practice of suicide intervention skills, including managers or practitioners in the health, housing, social care, education and criminal justice sectors, as well as call centre operators, private, voluntary and public sector workers and community groups or members.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Champion Programme

As the Operational Lead and Senior MHFA trainer, I ensure smooth service operation and high-quality training delivery, drawing on the discipline, resilience, and leadership skills honed during my time in the armed forces.

– Mark,

Warburtons.

I loved the learning and the engagement throughout! Everything was very clear and I loved how complex and difficult topics were covered in a sensitive way. Opinions were valued and opportunities were given to discuss topics. Thank you for a great course!

– Josie,

The course was excellent, as was the course leader, Zoe. Despite the nature of the subject matter, she was able to bring humour and was constantly checking in that everyone was okay.
