Highlights from our 2026 Occupational Health Technician Conference!
At the end of January, we proudly hosted our annual Occupational Health Technician (OHT) Training Conference – two full days dedicated to professional development, shared learning and strengthening the exceptional clinical standards that define Medigold Health.
Bringing together colleagues from across the country, the event really showcased the breadth of expertise within our OHT community, with participants ranging from long-standing team members with over two decades of service to those who’d joined the business only days before. This blend of experience created a vibrant environment for connection, collaboration and growth.
Commitment to clinical excellence
Across the conference, our teams took part in a series of in‑depth clinical refresher sessions aimed at strengthening competence and aligning practice with the latest research and industry standards.
Highlights included:
- Audiometry and respiratory refresher training, expertly delivered by our colleagues at GTS MedOH
- An important vision and airside driver update, led by our Associate Director of Nursing for Health Surveillance, Hayley Betteridge.
These sessions reinforced our shared commitment to delivering safe, high‑quality services that clients can trust, while ensuring our technicians continue to feel confident, supported and clinically competent in their roles.

Strengthening teams and building connections
With our workforce spread across the UK, bringing our OHTs together in person created a valuable opportunity to reconnect, share experiences, and celebrate the collective knowledge within the team. The energy across both days was exceptional, with plenty of conversation, collaboration, and catching up.
We even managed to fit in a group run!
Supporting quality on the road
Alongside the training programme, our teams carried out essential checks, servicing and repairs on our extensive fleet of mobile screening units. These vehicles play a crucial role in enabling us to deliver flexible, accessible health surveillance across the UK, so ensuring the equipment onboard remains safe, reliable, and fully compliant is vital.

A true team effort
Events of this scale don’t come together without thoughtful planning and a significant amount of behind‑the‑scenes work. We’re incredibly proud of everyone involved – our technicians, our clinical leads, our support teams and our external partners – for their contribution to such a successful and inspiring conference.
The passion, professionalism and dedication shown across the two days exemplify what makes Medigold Health such a strong, people‑centred organisation.
Thank you to everyone who took part – we’re already looking forward to next year!
