Health and Wellbeing @ Work - Medigold Health Goes Platinum
Just two weeks from today, over 4000 delegates and 100 exhibitors will descend on the NEC in Birmingham for Health and Wellbeing @ Work 2022 (15-16 March). Billed as ‘the UK’s largest event dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing, safety, behaviour and culture of today’s workforce’ and bringing together professionals from across the health and wellbeing community, it offers the perfect networking opportunity for businesses looking for new ideas and inspiration on how they can better look after their employees.
Medigold Health are this year delighted to not only be exhibiting at the event, but to also be Platinum Sponsors, with a number of our representatives featuring in the conference programme delivering talks across the two days. It’s going to be a great show – read on to find out what we’ve got in store!
It’s all happening at Stand 57!
That’s where our Medigold Health team will be based throughout the show and where you can:
Have a chat with our experts
Are you a smaller business looking for a cost-effective solution to help you improve the medical and mental health support available to your workforce? We are very privileged to have recently welcomed rugby legend Steve Thompson MBE to the Medigold Health Team as our new Health Awareness Campaigner and are delighted to confirm that he will be joining our other representatives on both days of the event in his first appearance in his new role.
Steve will be available to speak with visitors about his experiences and the work he’ll be doing with us to help raise awareness of the importance of protecting employees from risks to their health and safety in the workplace, and you’ll even have the chance to snap a cheeky selfie with him!

Our popular Going for MediGOLD game is back once again, giving those of you bold enough to take on the challenge a chance to win either:

Introducing our speakers!
There are 17 CPD conference programmes running across the two days this year, with 180 speakers delivering talks and seminars on a vast range of engaging and thought-provoking subjects. Speakers from Medigold Health include:
Steve Thompson MBE
Emotional Wellbeing Conference
Tuesday 15 March, 09:45 – 10:15
Interview with Steve Thompson MBE
During this session, Steve will be interviewed by Ben Thomas, Managing Director of All Things Management, on his experience of being diagnosed with early onset dementia at the age of just 42 following a hugely successful career as a professional rugby union player for Northampton Saints and England. He’ll also discuss why he chose to join Medigold Health as our new Health Awareness Campaigner, the work he’ll be doing in the role and his hopes for the future.
James Clark
Mental Health Conference
Wednesday 16 March, 09:45 – 10:15
Managing Alcohol and Drug Misuse in the Workplace
Alcohol and drug misuse poses significant health and safety risks in the workplace and can have serious implications for people’s health and wellbeing.
During this seminar, our trainer, James Clark, will discuss how combining a robust alcohol and drug policy with regular workplace testing and ensuring that you have the right support in place for employees who may be struggling can help you to manage the issue effectively and minimise the impact on your business.
Nicholas Warburton
Wellbeing and Resilience Conference
Tuesday 15 March (1:05-1:20), Wednesday 16 March (1:30-1:45)
How to proactively reduce stress levels and create calm
You’ll be able to catch Nick on both days during the Wellbeing and Resilience section of the conference talking about the benefits of adopting a more proactive approach to stress management in the workplace and how this can help to improve employee wellbeing and productivity.
He’ll also be teaching you a practical, effective relaxation technique to help you quickly reduce your stress levels when you’re feeling overwhelmed or under pressure and be providing an overview of the different support services and wellbeing programmes available that can help you to boost employee mental health within your organisation.
Don’t miss out on the chance to boost the health of your business
The global pandemic has caused a huge shift in the workplace landscape and presented a whole new set of challenges for employers looking to keep their people safe and well in the post-COVID world. It has also highlighted, more than ever, the importance of prioritising employee health and wellbeing, and why this should now be top of the agenda for organisations of every size.
Health and Wellbeing @ Work gives you the chance to get advice from industry experts, to learn from others’ successes and examples of best practice, and to connect with the companies providing the products, services and innovations that will help you to protect the health of your workforce and your business now and into the future.
We’d say that’s a lot of great reasons to come along and get involved! So if you haven’t already done so, make sure you book your place now by simply following this link to register.
We can’t wait to see you there!
