The Season of Goodwill

For many of us, Christmas is often a fun and exciting time full of get-togethers, tasty food and exchanging presents with loved ones.

However, Christmas can also be a very tough time for many people, including those who are homeless, lonely, bereaved or struggling with finances.

With this in mind, Medigold Health employees from our Sheffield and Glasgow offices have spent some time to help those in need this Christmas via two generous and heart-warming initiatives.

Sheffield office – Shoebox Appeal for the homeless

Every Christmas our heroic Client Services Coordinator, Rhiannon Lockwood, takes on the mammoth task of organising a shoebox collection in our Sheffield office, starting with a shout out for empty shoeboxes which she then individually wraps in festive paper.

This year the staff dug deep and generously provided enough gifts to fill 21 shoeboxes with practical items including soups, hats, toiletries, toothbrushes and sanitary products plus some Christmas sweets and goodies.

The shoeboxes will be donated to individuals who face spending Christmas on the streets of Sheffield.

Glasgow office – Secret Santa with Love for West Dunbartonshire Foodshare

This year 13 compassionate members of our Glasgow based team decided to spread some festive kindness through each pledging a Secret Santa with Love bag to the West Dunbartonshire Foodshare.

Each gift bag was filled with goodies and gifts designed to make a child smile this Christmas. The bags donated were for boys and girls aged from 0 through to 16 years old, who are living in less fortunate circumstances.

Thank you

We are incredibly proud of the hard work and generosity our staff have demonstrated through these charitable initiatives, helping those in need throughout the festive period.
