Introducing our new Protect Microsite: Making occupational health simpler, smarter and more accessible for growing businesses
If you’ve ever tried to arrange occupational health support as a smaller business, you’ll know it isn’t always straightforward. Costs can vary significantly, processes can be confusing and it’s not always obvious what you’re actually paying for. That’s exactly why we created Protect back in 2020 – to give smaller organisations a simple, accessible and cost-effective way to look after their people.
Since then, Protect has grown alongside the businesses it supports. What started as a service exclusively for SMEs is now trusted by organisations with up to 1,000 employees who want clear, consistent and proactive health and wellbeing support as they scale.
Why Protect makes such a difference
Running a growing business means constantly juggling competing priorities, and it’s easy for occupational health to take a back seat – especially when HR resources are limited. Protect takes away the added pressure of managing employee health, making it simple and affordable to give your team the right support at the right time.
With a single subscription, you get unlimited access to all the occupational health essentials: management referral assessments (via phone, video or face-to-face appointments with our OH Advisors and Physicians), GP report reviews, and new starter health screening. Your employees can access timely advice and support exactly when they need it, without you having to worry whether it fits your budget.

The real magic of Protect, though, is the wellbeing support that comes alongside these clinical services. Every employee gets access to the NHS-approved Thrive app, complete with mood tracking, online CBT and coaching. Our manager and employee portals are packed with helpful videos, practical guides and wellbeing toolkits you can dip into any time. There’s even an interactive events calendar to help you plan your internal wellbeing initiatives without any extra effort.
And you won’t be doing any of this alone. Your dedicated Client Relationship Manager will be there from day one, getting to know your business, providing advice to help you address key health trends more effectively and better support your people, and helping you make the most of your subscription. You’ll also have access to our Duty Clinical Manager and Duty Doctor whenever you need expert guidance.
